Third year Interaction Design student, minoring in Computational Practices
at California College of the Arts, San Francisco
Coming from a family of engineers, I was always surrounded by tech buzzwords. In high school, I first took a class called Design Technology and found something that I was genuinely interested in. In that class, I designed a dog paw cleaner following an exhaustive step-by-step design process, but enjoyed every part of it. I also interned at a design firm to confirm this interest.
Learned design tools like Figma and the design thinking process.
Learnt how to work well in a working environment and contribute to a real website and app development with a focus on UI
Applied my knowledge and learnings from college to create a updated product from scratch. Following through a rapid design process I created:
I am always on the lookout for improving my previous works. There is no stopping point for how much you can perfect a product. With time, people evolve, technology evolves and hence the products must evolve too.
From time management to room organization, I enjoy the process of unraveling messiness.
User-centered means starting the design process with the user's problem, having empathy for them and also involving them throughout the process as much as possible by doing lots of user testing and feedback sessions. I believe this process should always include a focus on accessibility, ensuring that everyone, regardless of ability, can engage and enjoy the product.
If the user can’t finish their task without getting lost or frustrated, what’s the point? I love making designs that feel easy and familiar, even when they’re brand new. That is also why I value feedback—it shows how different people approach things. What’s simple for one person can be tricky for another, but finding the balance is always worth it.
Sustainability to me is about giving back—to the planet and its inhabitants— by making thoughtful design choices that help, not harm. Whether it’s saving energy or avoiding user frustration, I believe design should contribute positively, not just take up space. Inspired by Ruined by Design, I aim to create products that are meaningful, responsible, and impactful.
